Over 3,000 feet of new gas line to be installed in Alexis/Tremainsville area

West Toledo Residents to Benefit From Columbia Gas of Ohio’s Pipeline Improvement Program
Columbia Gas of Ohio customers in Toledo’s West Alexis and Tremainsville neighborhood will benefit from a natural gas pipeline improvement.
Approximately 3,100 feet of natural gas main line will be replaced starting in early May 2010, weather permitting. The $400,000 project will upgrade existing steel pipe with plastic pipe, and will impact both residential and commercial customers. The project should take approximately 4 months to complete.
The work will require a temporary interruption of natural gas service. Customers impacted will be contacted via letter in advance of the scheduled work. Columbia Gas will make personal contact with customers prior to shutting off service and to schedule re-light appointments.
As a reminder, all Columbia employees and contractors carry identification cards bearing their name, photograph and identification number and will be happy to show them.
