I was and still am opposed to the constitutional amendment as it was passed. Now, we're stuck with it. Zimmy in #7 is right! Legalized gambling was going to happen in Ohio. Our state legislators should have written legislation to legalize gambling the right way! Now, we're stuck with a monopoly that will build a facility in a very poor location and hurt many current local business owners. We're being sold down the (Maumee) river! Big money wins again!! Trust me, as a downtown resident, we average about 5-6 K for hockey games, the circus this weekend had a great draw and don't even get me started on the hordes that invade during baseball season...it's great to see!! The only downside to downtown living is everyone seems to have to park in my parking garage! My suggestion is come on down and check it out for yourself...the events are plentyful and reasonably priced, the food at most of the downtown establishments is tasty and the beer is always cold! There are plenty of people that go downtown!

Trust me, as a downtown resident, we average about 5-6 K for hockey games, the circus this weekend had a great draw and don’t even get me started on the hordes that invade during baseball season…it’s great to see!!

The only downside to downtown living is everyone seems to have to park in my parking garage!

My suggestion is come on down and check it out for yourself…the events are plentyful and reasonably priced, the food at most of the downtown establishments is tasty and the beer is always cold!
