Mr. Shaun Hegarty, from Fox News, will be our moderator for the evening. Bonnie Bishop and others from The League of Women Voters will also be on hand as a sponsor.
This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates and listen to what they have planned for TPS if elected. Come on in and share the evening with us. This event is open to the public.
Candidates include:
Norman Drogmiller II
Darlene Fisher
Aji Green
Brenda Hill
Vince Hornik
Mindy Jenson
James Jones
John Bull Dog Rust
Larry Sykes
Bob Vasquez
I have to tell you, the turn out was impressive. So many students with great questions, as well as adults/parents who weren’t even part of any campaign staff…
What was disappointing to see was that one candidate chose not to appear…
you guessed it, Mindy Jenson, the LCRP endorsed candidate.
After inquiring as to RSVPs, etc, I was informed that not only did Stainbrook-endorsed school board candidate Mindy Jenson didn’t RSVP, but that they had to try multiple phone numbers, now disconnected, before being able to leave a message!!!
(One that didn’t get returned, no less)
Now that’s a committed candidate, NOT!!!
I now know for sure what place holder will not be getting MY vote!
Bob V., Brenda H., and Darlene F. can count on my support.
Larry Sykes, shame on you for being critical of the teachers about curriculum. For a former board member, you should know that the curriculum is based on the standards set by the state department of education… which is why private and parochial schools typically are higher performing. They are given the latitude to have their curriculum, and aren’t forced to follow state and federal mandates! Get your facts straight!!!

Oh to say you are wrong…is a HUGE understatement.
1) None of MY phones are disconected…just ask your boy.
2) True, I did have a prior engagenemt and it was unfortunate that I missed the event…sometimes that happens.
3) Sorry to have ‘disappointed’ you but I couldn’t have your support anyway, and before the other candidates ‘count’ on yours, YOU live in Perrysburg, Wood County, and can’t vote for them at any rate. Unless you consider writing them a check only to revoke it after you give it support, I doubt there is much you will do for any candidate in Lucas County.
Why are you so angry with me? You, obstensibly, got the prize. I quit messing with your recycled boy-toy as soon as I knew for sure (trust me….he dinied you plenty of times prior) he was making time with both of us! Keep him…please!
And relax…I don’t want him back…just what he took without my knowledge. I am guessing you will hear more about that later.
So lighten up, and enjoy your day…
Sheesh.
