Firefighters Endorse Bell
Mike Bell will be joined by Jim Martin, President of Firefighters Local 92 and others at a press conference on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10 a.m. in front of the Michael P. Bell Administration Building.
The Firefighters Union has endorsed Bell as their preferred candidate for Mayor. Martin and others will offer comments regarding their endorsement of Bell and the need to pass Issue 1 in the September 15th Primary Election.
Toledo’s former fire chief and former State Fire Marshal, Mr. Bell is running for Mayor as an Independent. He successfully brought together Northwest Ohio communities following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when he was tapped to lead the homeland security efforts of the region.
