outstanding spot, crisp and clean, just like keith…..jobs for toledo
July 21st, 2009 at 11:01 amEvery election cycle, candidates for office promise they will bring jobs to our depressed city. If politicians could in fact create jobs than Toledo would have a surplus. Predictably we have a shortage.
How about this, can we get a candidate who says in an ad spot, “I promise I won’t try to create a single job in Toledo”? Maybe then people would start to hire.

July 21st, 2009 at 2:22 pmKEITH WILKOWSKI IS THAT CANDIDATE, HE WILL CREATE AN ENVIROMENT OF LABOR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS WHERE COMPANIES WILL WANT TO SETTLE IN OUR AREA…LOOK WE HAVE TWO AIRPORTS WITHIN 60 MILES INTERSTATES 280, 75. THE OHIO TURNPIKE WITH 3 EXITS SERVING TOLEDO WHICH INCLUDES I- 80 AMD 90, FED-EX AIR AND GROUND AND BAX GLOBEL HUB…AND A FUTURE MAYOR LIKE KEITH WILKOWSKI WHO WILL CREATE THE ENVIROMENT. I AM PROUD TO BE ONE OF HIS CO-CHAIRMEN
July 21st, 2009 at 2:27 pmHe’s been in elected office, leadership, or working behind-the-scenes in Toledo/Lucas County for decades. What makes you think this tiger will change his stripes?
Why will he be successful this time when he has (with the help of others) demonstrated failure up to this point? He didn’t have enough power before?
Has he changed his philosophy on management? Maybe he took a course in basic economics? What revelation has Keith had in the last six-months?
July 21st, 2009 at 3:08 pmCampaign commercials are a quick highlight of what a campaign is going to focus on.
Wilkowski has provided more details on the role of government in creating jobs if you have followed the previous more detailed aspect of this campaign one example:
Then releases like this one and the commercial does say “read the plan at http://www.keithwilkowski.com” which if anyone hasn’t done that yet? Link.
July 21st, 2009 at 3:36 pmFirst candidate that can prove to me and bring a new company/business that will hire 25 or more in Toledo before the primary will get my guaranteed vote, until then it is just a smoke screen.
For Wilkowski, what did he bring to Northwest Ohio? Last thing I can remember is a FAILED outdoor theater in Rossford, remember that?
July 21st, 2009 at 4:07 pmJASON, KEITH WAS NOT A LEGISLATOR IN ROSSFORD, i.e.CITY COUNCILMAN, HE WAS THEIR LAW DIRECTOR…PLEASE DON’T BLAME KEITH. BLAME THE ROSSFORD COUNCIL AND MAYOR
July 21st, 2009 at 4:27 pmThe only way anyone can actually create jobs is if they open a business and hire people and are able to keep the business running.
July 22nd, 2009 at 11:27 amI have never heard so much BS in one campaign commercial in my entire life.

Same ignorant, gullible, stupid voters will buy this crap and probably elect him.
July 22nd, 2009 at 11:39 amName me one elected official that has kept all campaign promises? What they say to get elected is not usually how they govern. Remember the last time Carty ran for office he said he would be bringing jobs to Toledo. Well I heard today that Toledo’s unemployment rate is around 15%, one of the highest in our state. Why do we put up with political lies from candidates? I guess we deserve what we elect. It’s time elected officials were held accountable for campaign promises broken or never kept. If a store advertises a product for a low price, you show up to buy it and it’s gone. The store offers you a like product that is more expensive, that is called bait and switch. What is it called when a politician makes promises, gets elected and then never makes good on what they promised? Same thing I say. They have the power to make policy. That is too great a power to put up with the politics of usual. I for one am sick of lying politicians.
July 22nd, 2009 at 12:23 pm“Turn Toledo around…Democrat for mayor”
Yeah, the Democrats have been “turning Toledo around and round and round and round” for what 40+ years?
Turning Toledo around requires cleaning some damned house. Reelecting the same recycled crap into office year after year has been the perfect recipe for failure.
“Wellll he’s a strong union supporter”
July 23rd, 2009 at 6:01 amTHAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
And being a “union man” is not a credential for attracting and retaining businesses that employ people. In fact it’s quite the opposite!
