Last night Bob Vasquez was sworn in as President of the Toledo Public School Board and Lisa Sobecki was voted in as Vice President, it was also announced that applications are being sought for the vacancy left by Steve Steel’s appointment to Toledo City Council. As reported earlier on Fox Toledo:
The board of education requests that applications should include a letter of interest, along with a resume. The application can be dropped off or mailed to the Board office at 420 E. Manhattan.
Applications are due July 14 by 12 noon.
The new school board member will serve through Jan. 7, 2010.
I was told those applicants selected will be interviewed on Thursday evening and if necessary interviews would also take place Friday morning.
I really hope they get some good applicants.
