I had not been there before, and thought it looked like a great place and asset to the community. The ranger and I talked about the fact that starting Monday they are renovating the dilapidated softball fields and area. Would metro-parks take over city parks? I don't know, but at least someone is asking questions about methods to decrease the budget and making constructive suggestions. While the metroparks system has the equipment, they would most likely not have enough manpower so it would increase their costs. How much would be important to know before this could be taken seriously as well as if it is something they would even consider. If it is not? Then it's kind of a moot point. Two, if they did they would probably just close down and dig out the pools. It's too much of a liability and costs too much to maintain.
