“Family Affair” Event at Wilson Park to Feature Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur
Toledo, OH – The Neighborhood Association of North Toledo and The North Toledo Block Watch 332 C will host their second “Family Affair” event at Wilson Park this Sunday, June 14th starting at 4 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to recognize and celebrate the fact that strong families and strong neighborhoods are needed in order to build healthy, safe communities and successfully weather these tough economic times. The event will feature Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, who will be on hand to pay special tribute to the family with the largest number of members in attendance, as well as address the status of our economy and the concerns of our community.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair, sit back and enjoy the free food, free entertainment, and peruse the historic photos depicting life and entertainment in Toledo during the 1940’s and 1950’s that will be on display in the shelter house.
The “Family Affair” events have been made possible by the hard work and organization of The Neighborhood Association of North Toledo, funded by “Early Win” mini-grant administered through United North’s Quality of Life Plan, which focuses on key factors important to all community members and organizations throughout North Toledo— Safety, Economic Development, Housing, Education, and Parks and Community Facilities.
In the event of rain, the “Family Affair” will be held at the Stickney Banquet Hall, 3247 Stickney Avenue, just one block east of Wilson Park.
