Ward announces release of campaign website
This in via e-mail from the Ward for Toledo City Council campaign:
WARD GOES ONLINE
Website Provides The Opportunity To Connect With The Citizens Of Toledo
Stephen Ward has announced his candidacy for Toledo City Council At-Large, and now he is taking strides to connect with the citizens of Toledo through the website: WardForToledo.com. Ward asserts, “this website serves as a conduit for all people to speak directly to me. I assure you that I will address any concerns you have about the City of Toledo. In addition, I personally will respond to you. Communication between the citizens of Toledo, and the city administration is deficient, and needs drastic amelioration. I plan to take action, and open the lines of communication. I am willing to meet with any resident who has concerns.”
On this website, you will be able to stay updated on the campaign, give your feedback, volunteer and much more! However, we are sensitive to the crisis that Toledo is in. We are experiencing tough and uncertain economic times…therefore we have made the pledge to run a ‘no monetary donation’ campaign. Ward states, “thank you for your support, however I am sensitive to the current financial crisis of Toledo and abroad that has affected so many of our citizens. Therefore, I must stay true to my pledge, and run a ‘no monetary donation’ campaign, there are no donation links on the website.”
I look forward to bridging the gap of communication between Toledo citizens and those in City Government. That communication starts now, we must take action now for all people!
Stephen Ward is an Independent Candidate for Toledo City Council At-Large. He is running a ‘no monetary donation’ campaign, and if elected he pledges to donate 20% of his Council salary back to the city of Toledo to help with the budget crisis. He has challenged his opponents to also donate 20% of their Council salary back to the city of Toledo if elected.
