In one Swanton Precinct yesterday only two voted…
I went online to look at the election results from the Lucas County Board of Elections to see what happened with Springfield Schools replacement levy. I had spoken with someone yesterday who said turnout was not great and it appeared as if the levy might not pass.
Springfield did pass it’s renewal levy, with 21,601 registered voters, 2,161 voted.
The Blade reported that Swanton’s two levies passed, but the one precinct that was located in Lucas County, that had 85 registered voters? Only two people from that precinct voted, and they both voted no on both.
Maumee has 13,407 registered voters, 3,443 voted. Otsego had the largest voter turnout yesterday with 33.9 % of it’s 853 voters turning out to vote no on their school levy by a 229 to 55 margin.
Evidently quite a few people were comfortable with others making their decisions for them yesterday when it came to taxation…
NICE COVERAGE LISA, THANK YOU…WE HAVE GREAT SCHOOLS HERE IN SPRINGFIELD, HATE TO SEE THEM IN TROUBLE
