I didn’t write the poll, but I thought it would be of interest to even those who vote for someone else.
March 5th, 2009 at 1:35 pmThe news media as we know it will change but it will change for the better. Radio and TV will either have to catch up or step aside because the need for accurate news, live news and detailed news is what we the citizens of this city deserve and want. I always look towards blogs because they are not restricted by commercials or time – blogs have the ability to cover a story in complete detail and then come back to that story later on with added information with out having to clear it with any producers or managers. Yes I watch TV news and yes I listen to Radio news but you can only hear one story so many times before you start to look for other sources to fill your need. Great job sweetheart on overcoming the many doubters in the past and keeping a respectable site going for those like me who need more then just repeated stories at 10 and 11 on TV and every half hour on the radio.

March 5th, 2009 at 9:03 pmOther than who posts here from time to time, GCJ is great. No really, I appreciate most of the posts and opinions. The occasional attacks on the integrity of others irk me. I don’t see a need for it in order to have civil discourse.
Lisa, given it all you do a great job. I find out more about what happens in Toledo here than any other source. We see stories that would not see the light of day in other media. Yes, we get your opinion from time to time, but you have the right to voice it. And frankly I know it is informed even thought I might disagree. Thanks for the time and GCJ!

Congratulations Lisa! I’m glad you’re receiving the recognition you deserve.
Roman, if every blogger conducted themselves as Lisa does, blogging would rival the traditional media as a news source. Lisa says she’s not a journalist. However, from what I’ve observed, she conducts herself and her blog with the same standards as a professional journalist.
