Stankoski and Stout settle for $200,000 each…

21 Jan 2009

Back on January 6th it was reported, The proposed settlement, described by Schwartz as being “in the neighborhood” of $200,000, was “completely unacceptable,” and evidently now? It’s acceptable.

Columbus Dispatch has more details than the Blade:

Ten months after their first sexual-harassment complaints went unheeded by former Attorney General Marc Dann’s office, Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout today signed a $495,000 settlement with the state.

The taxpayer-funded settlement, which must be approved by the state Controlling Board, will give each woman $200,000, with another $95,000 going to their attorneys.

Stankoski, 27, and Stout, 26, also got an official compliment and an apology – something they wanted, but never received, from Dann, his staff or interim Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers.

The Blade reported this as:

Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout will each receive $247,500, which includes attorneys fees.

It is obviously George Bush’s fault! We have all heard of the evil weather machine he controls (or Dick Cheney does)well it probably works as a mind control machine as well.

Can you imagine if this would have happened while Governor Taft was in office? The blade would be going all Noe on this. The double standard is insane.
