Stankoski and Stout settle for $200,000 each…
Back on January 6th it was reported, The proposed settlement, described by Schwartz as being “in the neighborhood” of $200,000, was “completely unacceptable,” and evidently now? It’s acceptable.
Columbus Dispatch has more details than the Blade:
Ten months after their first sexual-harassment complaints went unheeded by former Attorney General Marc Dann’s office, Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout today signed a $495,000 settlement with the state.
The taxpayer-funded settlement, which must be approved by the state Controlling Board, will give each woman $200,000, with another $95,000 going to their attorneys.
Stankoski, 27, and Stout, 26, also got an official compliment and an apology – something they wanted, but never received, from Dann, his staff or interim Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers.
The Blade reported this as:
Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout will each receive $247,500, which includes attorneys fees.
Your tax dollars at work. Boy dems, I thought you were more ethical than this. Or do we blame this on George Bush and Tom Noe??????
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:03 amIt is obviously George Bush’s fault! We have all heard of the evil weather machine he controls (or Dick Cheney does)well it probably works as a mind control machine as well.
January 22nd, 2009 at 10:54 amLOL!!!!!
Can you imagine if this would have happened while Governor Taft was in office? The blade would be going all Noe on this. The double standard is insane.
January 22nd, 2009 at 11:03 am[...] own Glass City Jungle brings in some commentary on this one – when is $200k not enough, and when is $200k enough? Heck, it even made the Daily Muck over at TPM – way to go [...]
