Shaking the grinch…favorite holiday movie…
We’re over due for a video fun thread, and with tomorrow being Christmas Eve, I decided it’d be cool to do a post on what is your favorite Christmas movie. One of my holiday traditions as some of you know is to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” but my second favorite is, “The Year Without a Santa Claus” with my favorite character being…Snow Miser.
Name your favorite and I’ll do my best to find it on YouTube and share it here.
For Holly:
For Bucknut:
Muddy’s was a bit of a challenge, but I did find:
For Mary Kate, the trailer from the Theatrical version of the original from 1947:
For Maggie, her favorite scene is about 5 minutes and 30 seconds into this clip:
For Judy, the opening scene of her selection:
For Steven, the trailer of his selection:
My favorite is The Muppets version of A Christmas Carol, followed VERY closely by White Christmas!

December 24th, 2008 at 11:10 amI’ll second “A Christmas Story” … so many good one-liners to mention, but the scene when Ralphie wakes up on Christmas morning and looks outside (note no storm windows?) to find a snow-covered crystalized wonderland…kind of like what we had the other day … is my favorite part. The beauty of the season and the wonder of the holiday through a child’s eye.
Merry Christmas!

I like “Miracle on 34th Street” – I prefer the original.
“A Christmas Story” also ranks as one of my favorites.
