TARTA survey online for both riders and non-riders
I received an email on Friday letting me know that on the TARTA website there is a link to two different surveys one for those who ride TARTA and one that is a general public survey that can be done whether you ride TARTA or not. I did not want this buried since the readership is always lower on the weekends, so I waited until today to write about it.
I was told that the responses will be used for the ongoing COA (Comprehensive Operations Analysis) project through TARTA. It only takes a few moments to do both surveys, if you are a TARTA rider you can fill out both, if you are not a TARTA rider and are interested on sharing your thoughts on a variety of topics from what services would you like from TARTA as well as your thoughts on transitioning from a levy to a sales tax form of funding, here’s your chance.

October 27th, 2008 at 2:23 pmI find it interesting that TARTA surveys the public and does another study, while already floating a plan to switch funding from levies to a county-wide sales tax. Why ask when you have already decided on the answer that you want to hear?
October 28th, 2008 at 1:20 pmPerhaps because if there is an overwhelming number of those for or against the sales tax suggestion they’ll have an idea of whether it is going to be supported or opposed.
