Of course they have.

To do so other wise leaves one open for attacks on patriotism, soft on terrorists, soft on defense of the country, practice Un-American activities, and so on.

All quite detrimental when one is running for office.

I don’t disagree that under that definition that most people would be “anti-war”. I’m sure there are Republicans that are against “this” war just as there are Democrats who support it. All we have to do is look at Congress, despite the Democratic claims that they are “against the war in Iraq” they’ve continued to fund it and voted for it to begin in the first place. If we were to be honest, a chair from either party locally that produced videos with a devil and the words “kill, kill, kill” being shown that is a bit outside of the mainstream would get attention and the claims made on the website as to other companies worked for would be looked into. Perhaps the argument you suggested earlier would have been used, however instead the website and the video was pulled.

I agree with, completely. It’s hard to find anyone who stands on principle anymore, because the majority of us don’t demand accountability. We continue to accept the waffling, the games, and all the rest. It’s more convenient for way to many of us to remain quiet than to stand up and demand answers or action. We fall for the hype and the false promises made over and over again.

The term, war, has been become a subject of debate and usage also.

War typically meant a conflict between parties or countries.

Vietnam showed us the ideological side of conflicts.

The war in Afghanistan was about the harboring of the Taleban and the support they gave a group that attacked us.

The war in Iraq was about an alleged threat to us and the world community with no end in sight.

Next up, regime change part two in Iran. We supported the dictatorial leadership of the Shah when it was in our favor to do so, and now we want to topple the government there to install one favorable to our interests.

Dems and Repubs, support this idea.

Dissent and debate are the foundations of our country and patriotism. Disobediance likewise can be the seed that sews proper political change. Necessary in our country NO, (at least not yet).

Are there anti-War Republicans? Depends on how you use the term. I hope all Republicans are anti-war. I personally have never met a PRO-WAR Republican in a global sense. No one loves war, wants war, or seeks war; however, war is often necessary, this is an INCOVEINENT TRUTH. Are there Republicans against THIS WAR? Yes.

The issues I think Stainbrook’s musical stylings raise is more to the politics of fear, political correctness, and the fact that its impossible in our current political culture to stand on principle Or that the system forces out the steadfast and enables the wafflers on both sides to take the stage.

Sometimes I sit back and only jump in when I have to try to play mediator, sometimes a person will post something that inspires me to ask questions. You inspire me to do that at times Rogue, which you should take as a compliment.

As a tiny btw, I wasn’t the one who found this website, if the original finder of it wants to come forward they will. All I can take credit for is searching out the song titles and thinking it was interesting enough to share. I don’t post everything that comes my way…

Or…maybe you are assuming I’m doing something I’m not. I asked a question in response to your question about Republicans not being anti-war. I thought perhaps since you are much more expert in the ways of Republicans than I am that you’d know if there were lots of Republican chairs out there who were anti-war.

I thought it was interesting, evidently it was controversial since it was pulled and to be honest I did hesitate since posting anything about Jon ends up turning into an attack on me. However, if I stop posting about things I think might be of interest because of online or offline harrassment then maybe it’d be time for me to quit blogging.

I’m not ready to quit yet.
