Wagoner, Sears to Attend Sylvania Area Family Services Capital Endowment Campaign Kick-Off
Columbus – Working to improve the quality of life of area residents, State Senator Mark Wagoner (R-Toledo) and State Representative Barbara Sears (R-Sylvania) announced today that they plan to attend the kick-off of the Sylvania Area Family Services capital endowment campaign on Friday, May 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Sylvania Area Family Services Center located at 5440 Marshall Road.
Senator Wagoner and Representative Sears have worked to secure approximately $250,000 in state funding for Sylvania Area Family Services and tomorrow’s event will mark the official start to the public phase of this campaign.

Sylvania – Working to improve the quality of life of area residents, State Senator Mark Wagoner (R-Toledo) and State Representative Barbara Sears (R-Sylvania) today joined with representatives of the Sylvania Area Family Services to mark the official start of the public phase of the agency’s capital endowment campaign.
“For more than 40 years, this community program has had a direct and positive impact on the lives of everyone involved,” Senator Wagoner said. “No matter what your level of involvement, the Sylvania Area Family Services has helped to improve the quality of life in this region of the state and now all of us have the opportunity to ensure these important services continue.”
Founded in 1967, the mission behind the Sylvania Area Family Services program has been to empower all Sylvania residents to build upon their strengths in order to achieve a better quality of life. The services available to those living in the area include emergency food assistance, utility rental assistance, after school programs, summer camps, as well as additional social and youth services.
“Sylvania Family Services has been an excellent partner in our community and helped countless families over the years,” Sears said. “This capital campaign will ensure that Sylvania Area Family Services will be able to continue their important work well into the future.”
Senator Wagoner and Representative Sears have helped to secure approximately $250,000 in state funding for Sylvania Area Family Services.
