Ferret alert in Maumee/Southwyck area

My son lives in Toledo near Maumee over off of Heatherdowns near Southwyck. He has two pet ferrets that are near and dear to his heart. He has his garage set up as a play area for them and somehow last night both got out of the garage, something they have never done before. Evidently the garage door was open just enough for them to slip out.
So, if you live in that area and happen to see any wandering ferrets? They could be together or solo, if you could email me – glasscityjungle@gmail.com – all of us would appreciate it. He’s called all of the authorities including the animal shelters to let them know but I know some of you live in that area. I’ll try to get a picture up of the two of them.

May 6th, 2008 at 4:37 pmGee, I hope they aren’t the guys that got into my sunroom ceiling recently- do ferrets climb? If memory serves me, I believe they are a ground animal, right? I’m having an animal control outfit try to trap whatever it is that is scratching around in my ceiling. We know it is bigger than mice.

May 6th, 2008 at 8:50 pmCool – I live in the area and I’ll keep an eye out. I watched a friend’s ferret for the summer 10+ years ago and it kept getting into the springs of the couch.
The only thing that could get him out was a pork rhine on a string.
