Election predictions part two…
Since we went into a debate over the 3/4 Income Tax on the first thread asking for election predictions…Here’s round two for predictions only, and those who want to debate the virtues of the 3/4 can do so here.
I’ve taken most of the previously made predictions and included them under the fold, if you have not yet predicted and want to? Here’s your chance.
# # 1 roman Says:
3/4 tax will go down
school levy will pass
Hillary will win Ohio but not Texas
Obama will lose Ohio but win Texas
McCain will win Ohio but lose Texas
Huckabee will win Texas but not Ohio – he will lose Ohio by 12%.
# # 2 -Sepp Says:
I’ll have to go with Roman’s numbers.
# # 3 Holly Says:
3/4% tax levy will pass by the narrowest of margins
school levy will also pass by a very narrow margin
Hilllary will win Ohio
Obarfa will win Texas
# # 4 Not Again Says:
I think Hillary will take both Ohio and Texas. As will McCain.
Friedman will lose in a landslide. ![]()
# # 5 Bobthedad Says:
3/4% will pass – mayor and council will interpret as a vote of support for business as usual. Business and people continue to vote with their feet
school levy fails
Hillary will win Ohio by a 6 to 1 margin based on the annoying number of campaign phone calls I have received
Obama wins Texas – no calls to me from that state
McCain wins both
# # 13 just wondering Says:
Clinton by 2 percent in Ohio
Obama by 5 percent in Texas
McCain wins both by at least 15 percent margin
3/4 percent wins by an eyelash
school levy goes down by 10 percent
Friedman and Zickar in close contest
Latta beats his opponents
# # 14 Mike Zickar Says:
Clinton by 6 in Ohio
Obama by 3 in Texas
Obama by 12 in Vermont; Clinton by 1 in Rhode Island. . .
The contest continues.
Dave Beckwith over John Irish in 16I. . .
Somebody named Mike for State Central Committee (2nd District).
# # 19 Craig-The Unoriginal Says:
I will be voting for the black guy even though it looks like he will lose. Just like in the last mayoral election.
I think he’ll win Texas, though.
McCain, who cares.
The TPS levy will pass.
The 3/4 tax. Too close to call.
# # 41 Rockets Man Says:
My predictions:
Issue 1 will pass by 55%
Issue 7 will pass by 52%
Hillary winning Ohio 53%
Hillary winning Texas 51%
McCain winning Ohio 85%
Huckabee winning Texas 55%
# # 46 Hillary for Ohio Says:
3/4 tax will fail
school levy will fail
Hillary will win Ohio
Hillary will Texas
McCain will both states
# # 53 mark skeldon Says:
Obama wins Texas narrowly. Clinton wins Ohio by a little bit more. Vermont and RI split. The margin by which Clinton trails stays about the same. Prominent democrats begin to ask Clinton to leave the race (Richardson, Edwards are just a couple of guesses). Just guesses based on what I’ve observed. Don’t have a good feel for either tax levy, but I guess I’ll say they’ll narrowly pass.
Hillary wins Ohio
March 4th, 2008 at 3:26 pmObama wins Texas
Toledo tax not passing by 1 percent.
GO McCain GO!
My most favorite prediction from a reader via email:
In Vermont – Ben & Jerry

March 4th, 2008 at 4:12 pmIn spite of the rain that was freezing as it gummed up my windshield, for the first time in memory there were more voters than workers at my polling place. That’s encouraging. People CAN show up if they really want to.
March 4th, 2008 at 6:42 pmJohn Edwards has finally admitted to being a liar. He has succumbed to the pressure and has come clean and admitted to an affair with a woman not his wife. What a scum.
I guess now he will be a speaker at the convention.
