So what’s a Michigan Democrat to do?
Michigan’s attempt to make their primary more important did not turn out so well when it came to the Democratic Party, so voters in Michigan face a primary on January 15th that has created some recent suggestions that it appears not all Michiganders seem to support. I can understand the frustration that drives states like Michigan to try to move their primaries up. It is frustrating to feel as if you have had no say in the primary process with the way it is currently so media hype driven that if a candidate does not win the first two small states, they start dropping out and “a winner” is declared before the largest number of us even had a chance to express our voice. Personally I think the solution is to change the whole primary process as opposed to the battle of states jockeying positions, make it a rotating system so that every part of the country gets their “15 minutes” of fame would be one suggestion…
