With due respect to the court of idiocy, the fact is that the republican party is meaningless in this community. Who cares? Nobody. Get with it, join your side, A or B democrat. I tend to prefer the A’s, but the B’s aren’t so bad.

I find it halirious that nancy hanson and just wondering are fighting about who is more jealous. Nancy is correct in that the republicans wish they had the control locally to be as screwed up as the dems, and just wondering is correct in stating that the dems are that screwed up. My guess is that both parties do way too much blow (blow=cocaine). Screw the parties, do what’s right.

Have you done anything besides complaining, being a crybaby, and being bitter?

I recognize your moaning and bellyaching from another Stainbrook topic. It seems like you have a personal issue with Stainbrook. Maybe you should consider seeking some professional help so you can feel better about yourself and let go of your jealousy of Stainbrook.

Anyone who managed to turn in 170 petitions would get some media attention…I don’t dispute at all the fact that there are lots of people who do quite a bit that don’t get recognized but this could have an impact on one of our local political parties. If nothing else it’s my hope that it gets more attention placed on the precinct positions, it’s a part of our political process that many people know very little about.

I had at one time given thought to getting more involved with one of the local parties but, the guilt by association factor changed my mind.

Kind of hard to set an example for my kids and preach that liars, cheats, crooks, idiots and, swindlers are bad people…and then go hang around with them all at either of the local party headquarters.

I’d feel more respectable telling people I ran an Adult bookstore than I would saying I’m involved in Lucas county politics.

Sure thats a harsh statement but, it seems to me that every so often a DECENT person falls through the cracks and gets elected only to turn into another crony of somebody and morph into more of the same.
Look what happened to the new councilwoman a week or so ago. They attempted to bribe her for a vote and she did something ethical instead and now they don’t trust her!
THAT should be speaking loud and clear as to why Toledo is becomming a dump. Our elected leadership distrusts people who make ethical decisions!
