		<description>Lisa..thanks for this post.  I am going through our clothes right now and am making a donation.  I think everyone has some sweaters and other clothing that no longer fits or we have no real need for.  Being homeless is among the worst situations in life.  You can never really know the dispair without being there.  A gift of time, clothing, food, or just being there is what we can do in the face of a growing and terrible issue in America.  So often, we reach out past our shores with help,  yet forget what&#039;s wrong in our own back yard.  

I encourage all Toledoans to spend 10 minutes going through your closets, attics and basements.  Make a food and/or clothing donation.  What we all tend to forget, We are blessed beyond what we know and but for the grace of God, there go I.  

The 10 years I lived in Portland,  homlessness was staggering.  It&#039;s not on us to judge the individual&#039;s situation,  it&#039;s on us to help in whatever ways we can.</description>
