09 Oct 2007

This in via email from the Lisa Sobecki for Toledo Public School Board Campaign:

LABOR SUPPORT ROLLS IN FOR DEMOCRAT LISA SOBECKI

Building & Construction Trades Council Marks 14th Union Endorsement
for Toledo School Board Candidate

Labor has spoken: Lisa Sobecki is the overwhelming choice of working families for the Toledo School Board. Sobecki is proud to announce that she has been endorsed by the Northwest Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council.

“No candidate has worked harder to improve our schools than I have,” asserts Sobecki, a long-time parent leader in the district. “That’s why I’ve been endorsed by the teachers, administrators, and staff that work in our schools and now by the trades people building them.”

Sobecki has been endorsed by the Lucas County Democratic Party and by the following labor organizations:

Toledo Area AFL-CIO
AFSCME
Carpenters Union
Cement Masons Local 886
Glaziers Local 948
IBEW Local 8
Insulators Local 45
Northwest Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council
Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 50
Road Sprinklers Local 669
Teamsters Local 20
Toledo Association of Administrative Personnel
Toledo Federation of Teachers
UAW CAP Council

Lisa Sobecki serves our community as Chair of the Toledo Public Schools Parent Congress and as a Parent Representative on the Lucas County Family Council – and she served our country for more than five years in the United States Navy. A dedicated mother of two TPS students, she also volunteers her time as a soccer coach, crossing guard, and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) President at Ottawa River Elementary School.
