Chad Quigley covers Jack Ford Press Conference…
I was told this afternoon that Jack Ford was going to be holding a press conference at 3:30 p.m. at the Old Devilbis High School, I didn’t get personal notification via email but still wanted to attend. The timing didn’t work out for me with my parental responsibilities so, fellow Toledo blogger Chad Quigley stepped up and volunteered to head over and do his first citizen journalism gig. He did an excellent job with the summary and with photos, so I recommend heading over to read Jack Jumps In.
A huge thank you and my appreciation to Chad for volunteering and I hope that as this election season heats up that those of you who blog and can make it to some of the Press Conferences/Events will do so and blog about it on your blogs…
Citizen Journalism Rocks!
aww shucks
Thanks for the kudo’s. It was fun and I also encourage fellow bloggers to venture out. You’d be amazed when you see the look on the “Candidates” face when you say who you are and why you’re there. That’s really fun.
October 8th, 2007 at 6:11 pmCut in out Chad, you’re scaring me. I may be too new to the city to face our Candidates. Quite frankly, I’m amazed that you weren’t turned to stone (or a pillar of salt).
Be honest, you were one of those guys who tried to get all of your friends to Bunge jump too, right?
October 8th, 2007 at 6:32 pmnaw…I won’t even do that. Something about putting a rubber band on and flinging myself off a bridge or building seems really stupid. hehehehe however…I did go backpacking cannoeing with 40lb backpack for 2 weeks in the wilderness of MN. I have climed Mt Hood in Oregon and I use to swim with the sharks in Florida. But no bunge jumping here..hehehe
I’ve faced Finkbeiner in his office, I’ve challenged the entire City Council and no plan to quit anytime soon. TPS is just another place to stick my nose and rile up the ranks…
October 8th, 2007 at 8:00 pmExcellent job! What this city has needed for a long time is a person / journalist who will keep these jokers against the ropes rather than hand out free passes for everything.
