Since this topic has been one heavily discussed here on Glass City Jungle, I recommend reading Roberta de Boer’s blog column, Gay question in Wood County offers insight into politics. She starts out with:
Q: How conservative is Wood County?
A: Hey, even the gay people there are Republican.
Agreeing with her that it is a lame joke, though I smiled…she shares some other interesting information on elected officials in Wood County and I recommend stopping by and reading the column if you have not already done so.
Northern portion of Wood County and the doughnut hole of BG is more to the left, and then anything south of Route 582 is toward the right.
September 18th, 2007 at 12:38 pmThats true! however 2/3 of the population is north of 582. There is room for Dems to do much better – Melanie Bowens Campaign, in which i managed last year proves that Wood County as not as Red as some would like to think.
