Article from yesterday’s Blade that I felt might be of some interest to discuss, Campaign promotes healthier Toledoans. Some restaurants already do have their menu marked as far as which items are low fat, or low carb but given what the article states:
Toledo has higher restaurant sales per capita than any other metro area in Ohio and Michigan, although Cincinnati and Columbus are close, according to the most recently released statistics from Restaurant Business, a trade publication.
Nationwide, Toledo is No. 36 out of 318 on that measure, with restaurant sales of $1,467.81 per person a year, according to Restaurant Business figures.
It could be an additional help for those concerned about what they are eating when they dine out in Toledo…
