I liked what Leggett had to say the most. I don’t think Southwyck will thrive as a shopping mall even if redone. With one outside water park and one inside waterpark already in Maumee, it is time we jumped on that ship and rode it all the way to Port Tax Revenue. His youth is good, too. I want someone fresh without ties to the good ol’ boys and the unions. Just my 2 cents.

It’s just too darn bad that I won’t be able to cast both of my votes for the same candidate, although 3 or 4 of the Dist. #2 candidates show real promise.

Muddy, it’s sad to know that more people will read about the debate here and in Blade and watch the small clips from the media that showed up. Two dozen is a better turnout than the Debate for District 6 where only two citizens who were not media or connected to a campaign showed up.

Maybe perhaps many of us are too busy working that our schedule prevents us from attending like myself. A big “thank you” needs to be given to the media and Lisa for giving us the coverage so we can follow-up at our earliest convenience. So I find it hard to believe mud_rake’s speculation of “How sad, yet typical of the political scene in Toledo. Perhaps the citizens are all sick of what they have watched over the years: political thuggery,”…..maybe to some but not all.

The Blade reported ‘30 people in the audience.’ If you subtract yourself, the other reporters, campaign managers, and the candidates that sat out, it leaves a scant two dozen ‘others.’

Collins strikes me as the 1 to watch. I wish he lived in my district…then I’d know who to vote for..lol

If the 3 that sat it out had the nerve to show up, then they should have participated. Bummer for them to blow a chance.

The 1 that didn’t show..well, looks like she’d be a good companion for Ashford.

As for Mario, I really want to like him and be onboard, but..not with the OBC. Luckily for me, I don’t live in that district I guess, but then again, I have Ashford to contend with.
