Lucas County Young Dems Campaign 101…

21 Apr 2007

If you were one of those who attended? I’m sure you got quite a bit of helpful information. If you missed it? Make sure you attend when the next one is offered. My role was limited in participating in the last section of the day “Emerging Technologies”; my part of the presentation was very easy because I was joined by Mark Adams of Dispassionate Liberalism and Ohio For John Edwards and John Spalding of Make a Difference. I talked a little bit about the importance of blogging and how easy as well as free it can be for candidates or issue campaigns to get their information out there using blogging. Especially when it comes to press releases and creating a way for people to find information on that candidate when they were “googled”. Mark provided some additional information that confirmed the importance of blogging and pointed out the fundraising aspect and how important it is to be able to do that online, as well as how easy it is for a candidate or a campaign to do that today. John talked about the importance of emerging technologies and how critical the creation of a vision was for a campaign as well as how to follow thru to getting that vision out there to the public.

I extend a huge thank you to Mark and John for joining me on the panel and to the Lucas County Young Dems, especially Brian Kaiser and Ben Krompak for inviting us. I also thank those present who said such nice things about Glass City Jungle, I really appreciate your support.

If you were one of those who attended? I hope you share your thoughts on today. (Yes this is an inticement to comment on a blog, especially to one special gentleman who I am trying to lure into the wonderful world of blogging. )
