“Workin’ for the Weekend” Promises to Entertain for a Good Cause
TOLEDO, Ohio (August 30, 2010)—“Toledo’s Workin’ for the Weekend,” a concert featuring several bands, will take over Promenade Park all day on Friday, Sept. 3.
The event, which will benefit the Fuller Center for Housing and is presented by Northwest Ohio Production, will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch from Dorr St. Café available. Admission is free until 3:45 p.m. After that time, tickets are $10 and include two beverages (either soda or draft beer).
The band schedule for the day is as follows:
11:30 a.m.—Buck69
4:00 p.m.—Kingsnakes (Top blues band in Europe for the last 10 years)
6:30 p.m.—Stonefaces (Rolling Stones tribute band)
8:45 p.m.—Elijah Blue Allman (a mix of his parents, Cher and Gregg Allman)
Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy one last outdoor concert to finish out the summer.
